24

Oddly enough, yesterday 24 was on, and yesterday it was 24 days until PotC: AWE. Odd how that worked out, I just realized it. Anyway, I don't think anything important really happened in this last episode, just more of the same - Jack's in trouble. Audrey's suffering from some sort of mental trauma that makes her pretty much unresponsive to anyone but Jack, and he's in trouble, so that doesn't work well, and they need information from her in order to get the circuit board of the bomb back from the Chinese. Nadia is doing her best at CTU but what they really need is Bill, and we didn't see any of him. And we've learned that romance + a career in counter-terrorist tactics = nothing good. Chloe and Morris are seemingly 'done' (though you'd think that since they were divorced, they're already 'done') because Chloe 'crossed a line', even though I can't honestly say I care because I find Chloe slightly annoying and Morris...eh...anyway. They seem to be hinting at romance between Nadia/Milo and Nadia/Mike at the same time, and it's not like Mike and Milo are best friends, and lastly, Karen had to fire Bill from director and he's really not happy with her. So here's a general tip for you all: If you want your marriage to survive past a year, stay far, far away from CTU. Oh, and don't mix romance and the White House, because a) it grosses you out when guys of indeterminate age go for obviously young woman, and b) unless you're entirely assured of your boyfriend's loyalty (and even if you are), don't tell him vital information because he'll sell it to the Russians. Learned all that in this past episode. Amazing. I wish I could find a screencap of Tom's expression at one point when he and Evil Usurper Noah Daniels were discussing...eh...delicate matters, it was absolutely priceless. And he held it for so long, too.

Kitoky (from A-U) has kindly linked us 24 fans in general to a 24 blog which I'm currently giggling hysterically over, so I think y'all will like it. If you watch 24. And maybe even if you don't.

"How dreary to be somebody!
How public, like a frog
To tell your name the livelong day
To some admiring bog!" ~ Emily Dickinson, Poems, 1. I agree wholeheartedly.
